Butokukai Judo
Ølsted Judo Klub is one of the clubs in the Danish branch of Butokukai Kyoto, Dansk Judo Organisation, and is in its present form 35 years old. We are organised under International Budo Council, London, and the club is run by Sensei Martin F. Pedersen (8th Dan judo).
As opposed to the trend in western judo, Ølsted Judo Klub focuses on the technical aspects of judo, and uses kata and randori (rather than competition) as a means by which one graduates.
Besides teaching Judo, we practise Ju-Jutsu, Aikido, Kendo, Bujutsu and Iaido, although to a lesser extent. The fee charged is very low, allowing for college-students to follow the training.
